Summary : Given its geo-tectonic conditions and location on the Pacific Ring of Fire, Chile has a high potential to generate clean and sustainable geothermal energy. Geothermal exploration in Chile has been conducted in Chile for a long time, yet to date there is not a single geothermal plant in operation. Prospects in Chile for the development of this clean energy, and the exploration methods used in these volcanic environments will be the main themes of the presentation.
