This new meeting looks for enhancing the interactions between scientists working in quantitative palaeoclimate reconstructions in tropical, extratropical and subantarctic South America and the Antarctic Peninsula during the late Holocene. By the time of the conference it is expected to come out with outstanding results related to the Ring project which is about to finish its last year of research. The focus in the Antarctic peninsula research will be the most recent period of the Holocene. The conference is also being held at the Centro de Estudios Científicos (CECS) building in Valdivia, Chile between 27th and 30th of October, 2010.
